Hope Cared Children’s Home [Uganda] needs help

Part 2

The children can’t afford schooling because of the fees. The vaccination charges are also a hurdle to get vaxxed against Covid. Various diseases are predominant at the orphanage, including serious ones like a baby with a kidney ailment.

The orphanage head PMed me that they feel helpless. The little girl with kidney disease is now in the hospital. She requires blood transfusion, the first bottle of blood is over. They are frantically searching for more blood. She needs surgery and may die if they don’t get money for it. This is based on the message the orphanage conveyed to me.

  Man consumes pesticide As I write this, a young man is fighting for his life. He is an alcoholic and is always in and out of jail. This morning he put pesticide in his spirit and drank it. His body is turning cold and he can hardly breathe. He is in a queue for admission to the hospital for the poor where detailed paperwork is going on as protocols dictate that a police case must be registered before further proceeding. These rules delay saving those who attempt suicide. We aren’t sure if this was accidental or deliberate mixing. The treatment of patients who try to take their lives is shocking in supposedly good private hospitals as well.
