Thorn

Why is it that only flowers are pretty? What makes thorns ugly to the human mind? They after all protect the flower which is otherwise too delicate to protect itself. They come in the form of spines and prickles as well. Some leaves have thorn like structures. Often they protect not just flowers and buds, but the entire plant. Life has its share of thorns, through which we learn how to guard ourselves, and emerge as stronger.
