Part 1

Do your parents and grandparents tell you bedtime stories?

Do you read stories on your own? Or does anyone else read out them to you?

What kind of stories do you like listening to the most?

Would you be excited to hear that there is an amazing volume of short stories of fairy tales, fables, moral lessons, ghost stories, and adventures?

However, every night you will not be told the whole story. When the tale reaches its most exciting point, you hear, “Now go to bed. I have to wash the utensils in the sink now that dinner is over. I’ll tell you the rest of it tomorrow night.” How would you be feeling?

Would you have waited impatiently throughout the day waiting for nighttime when you can hear its ending?

The narrator completes the story every night and starts a new one. Once again, he or she doesn’t tell you its conclusion. The good news is that there are a thousand of these tales. Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves and Aladdin and the Magic Lamp are included. Have you been told these stories before? What did you think of them?

Among them are the courageous voyages of a sailor named Sindbad. His ship travels to faraway lands with his crew and encounters dangers. He is a brave and clever man. Will he be able to keep himself safe? What do you think?

  Man consumes pesticide As I write this, a young man is fighting for his life. He is an alcoholic and is always in and out of jail. This morning he put pesticide in his spirit and drank it. His body is turning cold and he can hardly breathe. He is in a queue for admission to the hospital for the poor where detailed paperwork is going on as protocols dictate that a police case must be registered before further proceeding. These rules delay saving those who attempt suicide. We aren’t sure if this was accidental or deliberate mixing. The treatment of patients who try to take their lives is shocking in supposedly good private hospitals as well. In one of these places, the person who attempted it was slapped several times by the doctor and as he felt that an evil person like this deserves mistreatment, ward boys were ordered to strip her naked to change her into a gown as there was no nurse at the emergency room.
