Finland

1.     Finland is a Nordic country, with its capital Helsinki perched on the Gulf of Finland.

6.     The reindeer, elk, moose lynx, swan, seal, grey owl, wolf, bear, wolverine, Siberian jay bird, ermine [weasel], white-tailed eagle, etc have adapted well to the country’s cold climate.

7.     Fish, the meat of game animals, wild mushrooms from the woods and berries are regular ingredients of the Finnish cuisine.

8.     Bread cheese, rye bread, creamy salmon broth, mashed potatoes, cucumber pickles, rice and fish pies, cinnamon buns and black liquorice are some delicious dishes that are worth trying if you visit the nation.

9.     Finland has the reputation of being the happiest country in the globe where people love nature, protect their environment and keep their surroundings clean.

10.   The Finns love to spend summer holidays with their families in summer cottages and relish saunas.

  Old English 1500 years ago, in the 5 th century CE, a Germanic tribe, the Angles, traversed the North Sea to invade Britain. The earliest of these attacks was in 449 CE. Later, the Saxons and Jutes did the same. These tribes lived in what we now know as northern Germany and Denmark.   Man consumes pesticide As I write this, a young man is fighting for his life. He is an alcoholic and is always in and out of jail. This morning he put pesticide in his spirit and drank it. His body is turning cold and he can hardly breathe. He is in a queue for admission to the hospital for the poor where detailed paperwork is going on as protocols dictate that a police case must be registered before further proceeding. These rules delay saving those who attempt suicide. We aren’t sure if this was accidental or deliberate mixing. The treatment of patients who try to take their lives is shocking in supposedly good private hospitals as well. In one of these places, the person who attempted it was slapped several times by the doctor and as he felt that an evil person like this deserves mistreatment, ward boys were ordered to strip her naked to change her into a gown as there was no nurse at the emergency room.
